Overview
Melbourne IT vCloud Express beta beta was a limited release production beta, which, offered the first true on-demand cloud computing service based in Australia.
It offered elastic compute (CPU and RAM) resources that automatically scale within limits depending on real-time demand.
Melbourne IT vCloud Express beta leveraged the large range of applications supported by software vendors running on VMware, as well as the growing ecosystem of VMware Ready Virtual Appliances. With more than 1000 virtual appliances in the VMware Virtual Appliance Marketplace, and more becoming available every day, deploying new appliances to this service become very simple.
We have closed the Production beta in preparation for a commercial release. Thanks to all participants!
